Panax japonicus C.A.Mey. is the plant of Panax araliaceae. The part used for medical purpose is its roots and rhizomes. To expend the new medical herd resource, this research has made the preliminary study on the chemical composition and the pharmacology of the lipophilic constituent of its aerial parts for the first time. The main content is as following:1. Through the extraction and purification, three compounds are isolated from the Huibei aerial parts of panax japonicus C.A.Mey. for the first time. According to the physical and chemical properties and compared with the marking products, two of these are identified as the ginsenoside Rg1 and Re. And it is can be known that the third compound is panasenoside by its physical and chemical and NMR spectroscopy. Through identified, all these compounds are known.2. We firstly established assaying methods and standards of determining content of ginsenoside Rg1 and Re from aerial parts of panax japonicus C.A.Mey. by HPLC. And at the same time marked total saponins and ginsenoside Rg1 as appraising targets to carry on extracting technics, and selected the best technology. The extraction rate of optimum extracting conditions is 29.36%.3. We extracted the flavonoids of the aerial parts of panax japonicus C.A.Mey.by using the ultrasonic method and alkaline extraction method, And marked rutin as appraising targets to carry on extracting technics, and selected the best technology. By comparison, the extraction rate of optimum extracting conditions of alkaline extraction method is 0.88%. At the same time, using AB-8 macroporous resin to optimize the purification technics of the total flavonoids. The best technics is as following: 70% ethanol aqueous solution is as eluting agent, elution speed is 2BV / h, elution agent is five times of the amount of resin volume. The content of total flavonoids is 78.56% by this purification technics.4. Preliminary pharmacological activity experiments show that the 70%ethanol part of aerial parts of Panax japonicus C.A.Mey. can increase the weight of immune organs in mice , While can significantly enhance the adhesion ability of red blood cell to tumor and phagocytosis of macrophage. And have the significant role in the resistance to 2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene (DNFB)-induced delayed hypersensitivity. But it has no inhibitory effect on S180 sarcoma in mice.
