Yao Tongtang With Oral And Fumigation On Low Back Pain Of Postoperative Of Lumbar Disc Herniation

Objective:To discuss the clinical curative effect of the synthesis therapy of the traditional Chinese medicine and herbal drugs Yao Tongtang on Low back pain of Postoperative of lumbar disc herniation. Methods:The study included 145 patients with lumbago-leg pain of postoperative of lumbar disc herniation patients from 2003.01 to 2007.12, they were treated with Yao Tongtang with oral and fumigation as the treatment group, the others with diclofenac sodium as controls. Anti-detumescence effect in 30 cases of 19-23g male xylene-induced auricle swelling in mice and anti-analgesic effect in 60 cases mice were investigated by the test of Yao Tongtang, Diclofenac Sodium and Normal Saline, then compare the result in any two groups. Results:The summation 84.93% of the cure rate and improvement rate of the treatment group was superior to control group (51.39%). The treatment effect of this two groups had obvious differences (P<0.05) The No.1 experiment indicated that the treatment effect of Yao Tongtang group was superior to Diclofenac Sodium group (P<0.05), the experimental results improved that Yao Tongtang has the detumescence effect. The No.2 experiment indicated that the rate of analgesic effect 68.42% of Yao Tongtang group was lower than Diclofenac Sodium group(84.21%), the study improved that the analgesic effect of Yao Tongtang has certain analgesic function though it is lower than diclofenac sodium. Conclusion:The treatment of Yao Tongtang in oral and with Fumigation on Low back pain of Postoperative of lumbar disc herniation was confirmed an effective and reliable method.
