Clinical Research Of Causation And Treatment About Infection After Internal Fixation Of Bone Fracture

Objective:Through retrospective study from Shandong Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in last 5 years, to provide a more reasonable treatment program about infection after internal fixation of bone fracture. Methods:Analyse 50 cases with infection after internal fixation of bone fracture in Shandong Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2005 to August 2009 retrospectively. All of the cases were dislodged or replaced the fixation after debridement,then irrigated to a great extent. Result:All cases evaluated by curative effect standard, after 6 months-48months follow-up, average 21.8 months; cure 40, excellence 3, effective 3, ineffective 4.Effective rate reach at 92.0%, recurrence rate 8.0%. Conclusions:Treat infection after internal fixation with active debridement, and then dislodging the internal fixation, fixing the fracture with external fixation if unstable and standardized antibiotic therapy are effective methods to cure infection after internal fixation of bone fracture.
