The Clinical Curative And Serum IL-5 Study On Cough Variant Asthma In Children With Kangzhi Tangjiang

Objective: Though clinical observation on the impact of Kangzhi Tangjiang to cough variant asthma in children on Chinese medicine syndrome, eosinophil count and serum IL-5 to observe the clinical effects that Kangzhi Tangjiang treats cough variant asthma in children, and to explore its possible mechanism.Methods: 60 patients with cough variant asthma patients were randomly divided into two groups, the test group has 30 cases and control group has 30 cases. Section 30 cases to trial Kangzhi Tangjiang, 3 ~ 5 the age of 5ml of one time ,6 ~ 8 the age of 10ml of one time, 9 ~ 14 the age of 15ml one time,three times of one day; the control group montelukast sodium chewable tablets (brand name Singulair), 3 ~ 5 the age of 4 mg, 6 ~ 14-year-old 5 mg, every night serving Dayton. Treatment for 21 days. After a course of treatment, Observed the two groups changes of the before therapy and after therapy on clinical symptoms and signs, eosinophil count and serum IL-5.Results: After being treated 21 days. the total effective rate of the test group was 90%,the main effective rate was 83.33%, the total effective rate of the control group was 86.67 % ,the main effective rate was 56.67 % ;Therapeutic effect of the test group was better than that in the control groups(P < 0.05).The improvement in the test group on main clinical symptoms and the decline the integral of before and after treatment Chinese medicine syndrome, was better than that in the control groups (P<0.05).The method of the test group had better effect on declining eosinophil count,At the same time, there was significant difference(P<0.05) in the two groups in the laboratory indexes .No significant differences( P>0.05) in two groups in the reduce the level of serum IL-5.Conclusion:1. This study shows Kangzhi Tangjiang can reduce or eliminate symptoms in children CVA. Especially in the aspects of cough, pharyngeal itching and cough up phlegm. 2. This study shows Kangzhi Tangjiang can reduce the level of eosinophil count and IL-5,this may be the role of treatment CVA.3. Kangzhi Tangjiang without side effects, It's safe, reliable function.4.Parents and children to accept because it is the liquid and use convenient, It is worth popularizing widely.
