Objective:To investigate the Effect of dietary fiber (DF) on intestinal mucosal barrier in IBD rats. To provide the experimental data for the clinical enteral nutrition. Methods:The rat model of IBD was established by colonic perfusion of acetic acid.96 SD established IBD rats divided equally into 3 groups at random, C group was given EN without DFC;T1 and T2 was given EN with DFC which containing different proportions of SDF and IDF. To detected the levels of endotoxin in 2ml blood of portal vein at the lth 3th 5th and 7th day after the EN. Specimens of small intestine 5cm between ileocecal junction were obtained for pathological examination. Results:In T1 and T2, the levels of endotoxin were lower than C group(p<0.05).as well T2 group is lower than T1 group (p<0.05). the scores of small intestine injury in T1 and T2 group were lower than C group(p<0.05).Conclusion:EN with DFC can decrease the levels of endotoxin in blood of portal vein and promote the repair of intestinal mucous membrane. Also can strengthen the protection function of intestinal mucosal barrier.
