Studys On The Effect Of Hypolipidemic Of Nelumbo Nucifera Leaves Extracts

This paper is composed of four chapters. Chapter I, the hypolipidemic activity of Nelumbo nucifera leaves extract is studied and the method of high-fat emulsion was applied to build hyperlipidemia of mice. Chapeter II, the hepatoprotective activity of extracts of N. nucifera leaves and Rubia cordifolia were investigated using CCl4-induced mice acute liver injury. Chapeter III, the anti-hepatic fibrotic activity of extracts of N. nucifera leaves and R. cordifolia were studied and the hepatic fibrotic is induced by CCl4. Chapeter IV, Chemical composition and pharmacological of N. nucifera leaves are summarized.Chapter I Hypolipidemic effect of Nelumbo nucifera extractThe difference between vegetable oil and animal oil to preare high fat emulsion was assayed by establishing model of mice hyperlipidemia. The results showed that the method of animal oil was better than that of vegetable oil. Hypolipidemic effect of N. nucifera extracts was investigated and the results showed that mice blood lipid is reduced significantly by NNEA and NNBU.Chapter II Hepatoprotective effect of Nelumbo nucifera leaves and Rubia cordifolia extractsHepatoprotective effect of N. nucifera and R. cordifolia extracts was assayed, NNEA and NNBU extracts of N. nuciferahowed significantly hepatoprotective activity. Extratcs of RCPE,RCEA and RMC from R. cordifolia had hepatoprotective activity significantly.Chapter III Anti-hepatic fibrotic effect of Nelumbo nucifera leaves and Rubia cordifolia extracts Anti-hepatic fibrotic effect of N. nucifera and R. cordifolia extracts was investigated. Extracts of NNEA and NNBU from N. nucifera, had significantly anti-hepatic fibrotic activity. RCPE,RCEA and RMC from R. cordifolia also anti-hepatic fibrotic activity.Chapter IV Progress of chemical composition and pharmacological of Nelumbo nuciferaThe chemical composition and pharmacological of N. nucifera leaves were summarized.
