Aim:To synthesis the ethyl [1-(pyridine-2-yl)ethoxy] acetate and the effects on learning and memory in mice Methods:2-(1-bromoethyl) pynidine(4) was obtained by 2-ethylpyridine(3) through Whol-Ziegler reaction. The compound 4 reacted with sodium 2-ethoxy-2-oxo-ethanolate to give ethyl [2-(1-(pyridine-2-yl)ethoxy)] acetate(5). The compounds 6a-6t were obtained by the reaction of esterification with organic tin catalytic. on compound 5 with a series of substituted ethanols. Result and discussion:We designed and synthesized twenty new compounds, and the structures of the compounds were confirmed by IR,1H-NMR spectrum. The phamarcological results showed that 2-(1-(pyridin-2-yl)ethoxy)acetates have strong learning and memory facilitation in mice.
