| ObjectivesThrough observation of Tongfeng Tang (treatment group), colchicine (control group) in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis for the clinical curative effect and adverse reactions, in order to investigate the Tongfeng Tang and colchicine both in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis for the anti-inflammation and analgesic action, uric acid degradation and adverse reactions, and provide clinical application for Tongfeng Tang in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis.MethodsAccording to the classification standard about acute gouty arthritis by American rheumatism association (ACR) in 1987, cut up 40 patient cases of acute gouty arthritis into 20 cases of Tongfeng Tang group (treatment group),20 cases of colchicine group (control group) according to ChanShuangRi,1 week for a period of treatment, patients were treated for two treatment to observed by joint rest pain, tenderness, swelling integral, laboratory test and evaluation index as uric acid (UA), rheumatism index (ESR, CRP), adopted index (WBC, PLT), liver function (ALT, AST), kidney function (BUN, Cr), and adverse reactions to evaluate the clinical curative effect of Tongfeng Tang in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis.Result1, Total effective as follows:the treatment group was 90%,80%in the control group, there was significant difference between the two (p<0.05); 2, The two groups were visible joint swelling and pain relief, after treatment group compared symptoms and signs score was significantly different (p<0.05), groups of symptoms and signs score showed no significant difference (p> 0.05), two groups at ease symptoms similar aspects, can alleviate joint red, swollen, heat, pain symptoms, etc.3, Two groups before and after ESR, CRP itself were significantly different (p<0.05); treatment group before and after treatment UA were significantly different (p<0.05), while the control group before and after the UA was no significant difference (p> 0.05). After treatment groups was compared in ESR, CRP was no significant difference (p> 0.05), UA was significantly different (p<0.05). Indicating that two groups have lower ESR, CRP's role in the treatment group also reduced the role of UA; 4, After treatment, the treatment group the original three cases of mild liver damage, 15%, after 2 weeks of treatment in 2 cases no significant changes in liver function,1 patient had elevated liver function, the group incidence rate of 5%; original 3 cases of mild renal damage,15%, after 2 weeks of treatment no significant changes. The original control group,2 patients with mild liver damage,10%, after 2 weeks of treatment than before the original one case of elevated liver function, and the other emerging liver damage in 1 case, the group incidence rate was 10%, no significant between two groups differences (p> 0.05). Treatment group, one case of taking a minor gastrointestinal reactions after distension, the group incidence rate of 5%; control group had gastrointestinal tract, nausea, abdominal distension, diarrhea,4 cases, the group incidence rate was 20%, there was a significant group difference (p <0.05). It explained that side effects of the treatment group was fewer than the control group.ConclusionTreatment of acute gouty arthritis with Tongfeng Tang, colchicine similar analgesic effects and can not only improve patient pain, tenderness, swelling and other symptoms and signs and laboratory indicators; and can effectively reduce serum uric acid level; the same time fewer adverse reactions, without adverse effects. Tongfeng Tang in acute gouty arthritis can effectively improve arthritis quickly, suitable for hot and humid Yunjie, and clip stasis cloud obstruction syndrome in patients with acute gout, it is an effective method for clinical promotion to treat acute gouty arthritis.
