| BackgroundAs the problem of aging population increasingly serious, the knee osteoa-rthritis incidence rise gradually, the symptoms and complications caused by it have serious impacted on the elderly patients'quality of life, because of knees arthritis, part or them become teratogenic and disability to lose Self-care ability, how to find a effective, safe, high ratio intervention plans to treat knee osteoarthritis, how to improve the patients'quality of survival, become a currently significant subjuct in the field of population and health, has the pressing and extensive social demand.ObjectivesThrough the comparison of traditional Chinese and western medicine in clinical observation on this research, compare the clinical curative effect of Chinese herbal medicine oral (anti-hyperosteogeny capsule), ShiShi manipul-ation and glucosamine hydrochloride (PuLi capsule) to knee osteoarthritis. Clarify their respective curative effect characteristics, provide evidence based medicine evidence for standardized treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Methods(1)Observation objects:aggregately 90 cases which coming from outpatien-ts and inpatients of traditional chinese medicine hospital orthopaedic, the time is 2009.6-2010.3. All cases are mild-to-moderate Knee Osteoarthritis patients who accord with treatment guidelines diagnostic criteria which come from zhonghua orthopaedic association formulated in 2007 and the Kellgren/ Lawrence knee osteoarthritis imaging classification≤3 level, male 15 and female 64,1 abscisic case, the age range from 40 to 70, average age 58 years old. (2) Cases grouping:using simple random principle to divided the 90 cases into treatment group A(anti-hyperosteogeny capsule)30, treatment group B (ShiShi manipulation)30, the control group C(PuLi capsule) 30. (3) Operation method:treatment group A anti-hyperosteogeny capsule (State Drug Administrat-ion approval numbers:Z10980006), five goals/time,3 times per day, oral; treatment group B ShiShi manipulation,2 times per week; control group C glucosamine hydrochloride (PuLi specification:0.24 g/goal State Drug Admin-istration approval numbers:H20020306), two goals/time,3 times per day, oral. During treatment, the patients should maintain good mood, avoid alcohol, smoking, greasy, spicy, solid food. One month before and during treatment the patients should not use orther knee osteoarthritis drugs, methods and the drug which might affect this study result. Intervention process of three groups is four weeks, every two weeks one follow-up. After the treatment to make relevant evaluation (4) Detection index:before and after the treatment, chemical etc clinical safety index inspection, knee osteoarthritis WOMAC scale integration, TCM syndrome scale, quality of life questionnaire, records and compared with treatment group and control group the improvement of the knee symptoms. (5) Data processing:using SPSS13.0 to analysis the statistical data.Results(1)Through two weeks and four weeks of treatment, the three treatments all can make patients'WOMAC scale total score down, compare among groups, there is no significant difference between treatment group A and treatment group B(P>0.05), there are significant differences between treatment group A and control group C, between treatment group B and control groupC(P<0.05). (2)Through two weeks and four weeks of treatment, the three treatments all can make patients'WOMAC scale Pain score down, compare among groups, there are no significant differences between treatment group A and treatment group B, between treatment group A and control group C (P>0.05), there is significant difference between treatment group B and control group C(P<0.05). (3)Through two weeks and four weeks of treatment, the three treatments all can make patients'WOMAC scale Stiff extent score down, there are no significant differences among of the three groups(P>0.05). (4)Through two weeks and four weeks of treatment, the three treatments all can make patients'WOMAC scale Function activity score down, compare among groups, there are no significant difference between treatment group A and treatment group B, between treatment group A and control group C(P>0.05), there is significant difference between treatment group B and control group C(P<0.05).Conclusion(1)Aspects of general efficacy:Anti-hyperosteogeny capsule and ShiShi manipulationon begin to produce clinical curative effect Just two weeks,4 weeks later Show the obvious curative effect, the PuLi capsule until 4 weeks later showed significance effect of clinical, but also improved ShiShi man-ipulation'effect is similar with the anti-hyperosteogeny capsule, and are both better than PuLi capsule;on the treatment prophase, the anti hyperosteoge-ny is better than ShiShi manipulationon in improving symptoms extent, the ShiShi manipulationon is better than anti-hyperosteogeny capsule in improving symptoms comprehensive; on the treatment later, the ShiShi manipulationon is better than anti-hyperosteogeny capsule both in improving symptoms extent and comprehensive。(2) Aspects of pain:Anti-hyperosteogeny capsule and ShiShi manipulationon begin to produce clinical curative effect Just two weeks,4 weeks later Show the obvious curative effect, the PuLi capsule until 4 weeks later showed signi-ficance effect of clinical, but also improved ShiShi manipu-lation'effect is similar with the anti-hyperosteogeny capsule, and are both better than PuLi capsule; throughout the treatment, the ShiShi manipulationon is better than anti-hyperosteogeny capsule both in improving pain extent and comprehensive。(3)Aspects of stiff extent:the three treatments all can alleviate the symptoms of patients, but also have same efficacy.(4)Aspects of function activity:Anti-hyperosteogeny capsule and ShiShi manipulationon begin to produce clinical curative effect Just two weeks,4 weeks later Show the obvious curative effect, the PuLi capsule until 4 weeks later showed significance effect of clinical, but also improved ShiShi manipu-lation'effect is similar with the anti-hyperosteogeny capsule, and are both better than PuLi capsule; on the treatment prophase, the anti-hyperosteogeny capsule is better than ShiShi manipulationon in improving function activity extent, the ShiShi manipulationon is better than anti hypero-steogeny capsule in improving function activity comprehensive; on treatment later, the ShiShi manipulationon is better than anti-hyperosteogeny capsule in improving function activity extent and similar in comprehensive。To sum up, the ShiShi manipulationon and Anti-hyperosteogeny capsule both can obviously alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients, the effect are better than the PuLi capsule, but also rapid effect, should be widely applied in clinical. But the case of this test is relatively few, there is limitation in reaction to the accuracy and completeness of results.
