Objectives The purpose of the testing of the Apparatus ZM3.1-Y for Diagnosis andTreatment of Cognitive Impairment are following: To detect the range of the scores of every item in 4-6 years old children. To examine inter-rater reliability,test-retest reliability and internal consistency. To examine discriminate validity for analyzing stability of the system To examine criterion-related validity with Gesell development schedules for detecting the relevance of themMethod1. Initially the framework of Apparatus ZM3.1-Y for Diagnosis and Treatment of Cognitive Impairment is established, then the pre-experiment is carried out.2. The normal and abnormal children which are divided into groups according to age are detected by the Apparatus ZM3.1-Y for Diagnosis and Treatment of Cognitive Impairment. There are forty-six children in all.The mean scores and standard deviations are counted to approach score rang of different ages.3. Some normal children are chosen to assess twice by the same rator to detect the correlation and difference of the outcomes;some normal and abnormal children are chosen to assess twice by two different rators to detect the correlation of the outcomes.4. The 50 abnormal children are assessed by the Apparatus ZM3.1-Y for Diagnosis and Treatment of Cognitive Impairment and the mean scores and standard deviations are calculated.Compare the data of normal and abnormal children to detect the discriminate validity.5. Some normal and abnormal children are assessed by both Gesell Develomental Scale and the Apparatus ZM3.1-Y for Diagnosis and Treatment of Cognitive Impairment. Coefficient of correlation is calculated to detect the relevance of them.Result1. Preliminarily the framework of the Apparatus ZM3.1-Y for Diagnosis and Treatment of Cognitive Impairment is established. The system is divided into seven groups.such as perseption,attention,comprehension,memory,calculation,imagination,expression2. The scores of 4 years old normal children are 105.00±12.70,103.00±14.66,103.00±14.66,106.00±12.72,100.00±16.98,108.00±2 0.96,102.00±31.10;the scores of 5 years old normal children are 106.00±20.23, 102.00±14.39,104.80±6.84,102.86±19.53,103.47±16.41,107.00±10.02, 104.93±13.05;the scores of 6 years old normal children are 111.16±13.68, 93.60±12.09,91.36±15.64,96.96±16.98,107.56±14.93,95.70±9.46,98.26±3.61.3. The test-retest reliability of the normal and abnormal 20 children is good. The range of their r is 0.648±0.990 and 0.791-0.984.The inter-rater reliability is good too in another 17 children. The range of their r is 0.671-0.983 and 0.693-0.986.Cronbacha coefficient is 0.630,internal consistency is good.4. There is statistical difference in scores of every item between normal and abnormal children of age of 4 to 6.5. There is good correlation between the scores of Gesell Developmental Scale and that of the Apparatus ZM3.1-Y for Diagnosis and Treatment of Cognitive Impairment by Pearson test. The result is r=0.810,P= 0.000.Conclusion1. The assessmen system of the Apparatus ZM3.1-Y for Diagnosis and Treatment of Cognitive Impairment and its score coefficient are establishwd. It showed the range of every cognitive function score of children from 4 to 6.2.Test-retest reliability,inter-rater reliabilityand internal consistency are good for normal and abnormal children with the Apparatus ZM3.1-Y for Diagnosis and Treatment of Cognitive Impairment.3. The score of the Apparatus ZM3.1-Y for Diagnosis and Treatment of Cognitive Impairment is significantly correlative with that of Gesell Developmental Diagnosis Scale for normal and abnormal children. The system has good validity.
