ObjectiveTo discuss the correlation between the clinical risk factors and Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN).MethodsStandard sensory and motor nerve conduction studies were performed in 180 patients with type-2 diabetes. They were divided into DPN and non-DPN group according to the results. Fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin and triglyceride of the patients were determined; T-test, Chi-square test and Logistic Regression were used for statistical analysis.ResultsThere were significant difference in fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin and the course between DPN and non-DPN groups(P<0.05).Significant positive correlation of glycosylated hemoglobin as well as the course with DPN was found(P<0.05).ConclusionThe course and glycosylated hemoglobin were the high-risk factors of DPN in patients with type-2 diabetes.
