The Clinical Application Of 72-hour Daytime Intraocular Pressure Test On The Diagnosis Of Suspected Cases Of Open Angular Glaucoma

ObjectiveSearch a new method in intraocular pressure fluctuations for suspected cases of glaucoma.Methods57 cases of suspected open angular glaucoma cases (114 eyes) are from the first China Medical University Hospital eye clinic to conduct 72-hour daytime intraocular pressure test and single daytime intraocular pressure test.ResultsThe 95%CI of 24-hour daytime intraocular pressure measurement results is (3.83, 5.70) mmHg, in the limit of the 8mmHg. There are significant differences between the 72-hour daytime mean intraocular pressure difference (7.44±5.90mmHg) and 24-hour daytime mean intraocular pressure difference (4.77±5.03mmHg),α=0.05 as the standard, t=3.68, P<0.05. The mean value of 72-hour daytime intraocular pressure is higher than that of 24-hour daytime intraocular pressure, t=4.06, P<0.05.72-hour daytime intraocular pressure measurement's positive detection rate for intraocular pressure asymmetry has significant difference to 24-hour test results (χ2=8.1, P<0.05). The probability of four out-patient sessions (7:30,10:30,13:30,16:30) coming out the peak IOP is 25.4%,39.7%,19.2%, and 15.7%, there is no significant difference.Conclusion72-hour continuous ambulatory intraocular pressure monitoring method can be used to make up the deficiency of the simplified 24-hour intraocular pressure clinical monitoring, both to meet the 24-hour intraocular pressure monitoring needs, while increasing the patient's compliance, in our reality health care environment are worth promoted.
