ObjectiveTo survey the survival situation of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and to study the relationship between, Survivin, Cyclin D1 and nm23-H1 expression of nasopharyng eal carcinoma radiotherapy prognosis.MethodsThe expression of Survivin,Cyclin D1and nm23-H1 protein in 72 cases of NPC were examined by the SP immunohistochemical method. All 72 patients with complete clinical and pathiological data, who were initially treated in our department during January 2000 to May 2004 and were followed up for five years, were selected. Results(1) The 3-year overall survival rate of the 72 patients is 65.2%, and the 5-year overall survival rate is 44.4%.(2) The positive rate of Survivin proteins was 75.0%(3/4)in 72 cases of Stage I NPC。There is no much difference between the expression and radiotherapy prognosis; The positive rate of StageⅡis 64.3%(18/28),the StageⅢis 33.3%(11/33) and the StageⅣa is 71.4%(5/7).All of them have statistically significant(P<0.05).(3) The positive rate of Cyclin D1 proteins was 50.0%(2/4) in the StageⅠof NPC。There is no much difference between the expression in Stage I and radiotherapy prognosis; The positive rate of StageⅡis 67.9%(19/28),the StageⅢis 48.5%(16/33) and the StageⅣa is 71.4%(5/7).All of them have statistically significant(P<0.05).(4) The positive rate of nm23-H1 proteins was 100.0%(4/4) in the StageⅠof NPC。There is no difference between the expression and radiotherapy prognosis; The positive rate of StageⅡis 67.9%(19/28),the StageⅢis 72.7%(24/33) and the StageⅣa is 57.1%(4/7).All of them have statistically significant(P<0.05).conclusion:Pharyngeal cancer organizes cyclin D1, the survivin protein expression and the radiotherapy prognosis assumes the inverse correlation, the nm23-H1 protein expression degree and the radiotherapy prognosis present is related. May as a pharyngeal cancer patient's independent radiotherapy prognosis factor.
