| Abstract ObjectiveTo study the correlation among VEGF,COX-2 and MVD in clear renal cell carcinoma(CRCC).MethodsIn 60 cases of CRCC and 10 cases of normal renal tissue,immunohistochemistry was applied to examine the expression of COX-2 and VEGF.CD34 staining was applied to mark microvascular endothelia to count MVD.ResultsThe positive rate of COX-2 expression in CRCC (76.7%) was higher than that in normal renal tissue(20%)(P<0.05). The positive rate of VEGF expression in CRCC(73.3%) was higher than that in normal renal tissue(20%)(P<0.05).MVD in CRCC was higher than that in normal renal tissue(P<0.05).The expression of COX-2 and VEGF in CRCC correlated with each other(r=0.469,P<0.05). The expression of COX-2 and VEGF in CRCC correlated with MVD (r=0.685,0.713,P<0.05).Conclusion:The expression of COX-2,VEGF and MVD in CRCC is higher than that in normal renal tissue.In CRCC COX-2 and VEGF correlate with each other and they participate in vasculogenesis of CRCC. |
