ObjectiveThrough Full-term pregnant women self-rating depression scale (SDS) and its estrogen,5-HT levels of detection, the correlation of among the full-term pregnancy maternal estrogen,5-HT and the relevance of depression during pregnancy is explored.MethodsWe selected the pregnant women as the selected objects of this experiment, the women were in full-term pregnancy (pregnancy 37-40 weeks) and willing to cooperate, they were hospitalized in China Medical University affiliated hospital, Shengjing Hospital during Jun.2009-Dec.2009. All the selected objects had no history of mental illness, endocrine disease, mental retardation, brain damage or other physical disease. At the same time, they have education of more than elementary school and are able to understand correctly the self-rating depression scale (SDS) content. We selected 52cases (including 18 cases of SDS is greater than or equal to 50 minutes, divided into SDS≥50 group; 34 cases of SDS is less than 50 hours, divided into SDS<50 group) who voluntarily participated in this experiment of all the pregnant women joined the scale assessment, took 5ml blood from the peripheral venous that day. serum estrogen of pregnant women is measured by radioimmunoassay and the 5-HT values are measured by the method of ELISA.The data would be statistically analyzed.Results(1) SDS≥50 group and the SDS<50 group of pregnant women, serum estrogen levels at term:SDS≥50 group as 160.86±64.34; SDS<50 group to 318.80±216.16. Comparing the two groups was statistically different (P<0.05).(2) SDS≥50 group and the SDS<50 group of pregnant women in term of serum 5-HT levels:SDS≥50 group of 405.23±139.96; SDS<50 group to 672.10± 290.63. Comparing the two groups was statistically different (P<0.05).(1) full-term pregnancy maternal serum estrogen levels and the correlation between SDS score was statistically significant, negative correlation (R= 0.512; P <0.05).(2) full-term pregnancy maternal serum 5-HT levels and the correlation between SDS score was statistically significant, negative correlation (R= 0.435; P<0.05).(3) Through the multiple regression analysis, full-term pregnancy maternal estrogen will do a more obvious influence on the levels on SDS score than 5-HT(Estrogen Rc2= 0.232,5-HT Rc2= 0.173)Conclusions1.In full-term pregnancy the pregnant women, whose SDS score is less than 50 points, have a declining levels of estrogen and 5-HT2.Full-term pregnancy maternal estrogen and low level of 5-HT both have a obvious statistically relationship with the increasing SDS score.3. Estrogen deficiency is one of the factors leading to full-term pregnancy mood disorders.
