ObjectiveTo evaluate the surgical technique, influencing factors and postoperative effects of the one-nostril transsphenoidal removal of PA.Methods71 patients with clinically diagnosed PA patients, are used by the SNT tumor resection. All patients before and after surgery were received routinely sellar region scan and enhanced MRI and routine examination of pituitary hormone series. The pituitary hormone values were statistically analyzed before and after surgery, and clinical symptom and outcome were analyzed also.ResultsThe tumors were 56 cases of total resection, total resection rate of 78.87%, most of resection in 15 cases. There was a transient postoperative diabetes insipidus in 15 cases, urine in the 4000ml-8000ml one day, continuing 4-7 days, and got a good recovery after symptomatic dispose using pressured acetic acid to the amine;we found cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea in 3 cases, of which 2 cases of elevated head position, anti-inflammatory and other conservative treatment, after 5 days rhinorrhea was cured; one cases of postoperative blood into the third ventricle and lateral ventricles, resulting in acute obstruction hydrocephalus by ventricular drainage and craniotomy and timely removal of suprasellar residual tumor, postoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea, conservative treatment fails, lumbar drainage line on the 7th postoperative patient recovered well. With no deaths in all of the surgery.ConclusionsThe SNT removal of PA invasive, safe, high, fast recovery, low risk of infection, complications were few and mild symptoms, low-cost. It was ideal PA surgery in the future.
