Aims In order to investigate the situation of diabetic knowledge acquired by diabetic patients in hospitals of Hangzhou, analyze the effecting factors and provide evidence for the healthy education of diabetic patients in practice, we translated the ADknowl form and evaluated the efficacy of ADKnowl Chinese version. Methods Translating the ADKnowl form into Chinese and performing a survey via the Chinese version to evaluate the efficacy, reliability and consistency.106 diabetic patients were included in the survey and the data were analyzed via SPSSV17 in descriptive analysis, percentage, ANOVA, logistic regression and chi-square et al. Results Content validation index of Chinese ADKnowl form was 0.9230, Cronbach's alpha index was 0.909. Among 106 patients,38 were in oral group with score of 57.37±16.61; 41 were in insulin group with score of 61.44±14.61; 27 were in oral-insulin-combine group with score of 69.11±13.51. The mastering rate of each sub-item in ADKnowl form had significant differences. Conclusion ADKnowl had good reliability and efficacy. It offered us solid evidence showing that the patient education of diabetes was not satisfied. Education level of patients and whether received diabetic educations were important factors that related with diabetic knowledge acquirement.
