Analysis On Clinical Characteristics And Resistance Profile Of Acinetobacter Baumannii In Pulmonary Infection

Objective Recently, the number of Acinetobacter baumannii infection is increasing day by day and its resistance is serious.Acinetobacter baumannii mainly lead to the lower respiratory infection.Therefore,our study is to investigate clinical distribution, infection characteristics and resistance of Acinetobacter baumannii in pulmonary infection in our hospital.Methods Clinical data of Acinetobacter baumannii in our hospital from 2006 to 2008 was analyzed and summarized.The 65 cases all conformed to the standards of CAP diagnose and had relevant clinical characteristics and the results of phlegm examinations to be the diagnostic basis. Results The infected patients were almost aged, had many basic diseases,had been in hospital for a long time or had been received all kinds of traumatic operations. In our hospital,the incidence of Ab infection was highest in ICU,accounting to 41.54% and the incidence was high in Neurology intensive care unit,Neurosurgery intensive care unit, Orthopedics, Pneumolory,etc.The resistance rates of Ab to Ciprofloxacin was highest,according to 81.54%. The sensitive rates to Imipenem and Ampicillin sulbactam were highest,accounting to 43.08%.Besides,during the treatment,28 caese were infected by other bacterium,such as Pseudomonas aeruginose(34.55%) and Stenotrophomonas maltophilia(20.00%). Conclusion The infected patients were almost aged, had many basic diseases,had been in hospital for a long time or had been received all kinds of traumatic operations. In our hospital,the incidence of Ab infection was highest in ICU.The resistance rates of Ab to Ciprofloxacin was highest,according to 81.54%. Therefore,we should strengthen the resistance monitoring and resonable management of antibacterials and strict all kinds of regulations of asepsis operations.Only in this way,can we reduce the number of Acinetobacter baumannii infectious cases.
