Objective:To describe the clinical characteristics of drug-fever, and improve the difference-diagnosis ability to the drug-fever.methods:In this study, three patients of drug-fever were described. At the meantime,to analyse 213 cases from 55 articals who had drug fever by searching the case reports between 1999 and 2009,using the database of Chinese scientific and technical journals,CBM,CNKI,Pubmed.Result:Drug Fever is a febrile response that coincides temporally with the administration of a drug and disappears after discontinuation of the offending agent. Our research manifact that most patients had fever with other manifestations, rash, chill, headach are the most common clinical manifestations, and it most commonly appears after 5-10 days of drug administration and rapidly reverses after discontinuation of the drug. The onset of the fever was fond to be highly variable and dependent on the drug class, example:antimicrobials mean 6.1 days,The infectional diseases(67.11%) are more likely to induce drug fever, therefore antibioticals are the most common course of drugfever. In the antibiotics induced fever,21.29% of patients temporatures are reture to nomal at one time, and half patients primary disease are not bacterial infections, and most medications are incorrect treatment with antibiotic therapy, some of patients has allergic history. Conclusion:Drug induced fever is a kind of drug adverse effect, and it is not rare in the clinical therapy, and five mechanisms of drug fever have been identified.Drug fever is particularly problematic when it occurs during the course of an infection, since it can mislead clinicians into believing that a successful course of therapy is failing. The durg fever induced by antimicrobial agents has related by irrational use of antibiotic. To aware clinicians it is not beneficial to the patients if antibiotics are used without sound indications,so that can decreas the drug fever by the antibacterial drugs reasonable application in hospital.
