The Initial Research About The Relationship Between Abnomal Expression Of Vimentin And The Invasion And Metastasis Of Gastric Carcinoma

Objective:To investigate the relationship between abnomal expression of vimentin and the invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinoma.Methods:141 specimens of gastric carcinoma,paring normal mucosa and lymph node came from the patients who accepted resection operation of stomach in the first affiliated hospital of Fujian Medical University from May,2008 to March,2010.The western-blot,the technology of tissue array,immunohistochemistry was used to detect vimentin expression in the specimens.Result:The rate of expression of vimentin in the tissues of gastric carcinoma and paring normal mucosas are 32.6% and 9.9%,which have significant difference;The rate of expression of vimentin in the tissues of lymph nodes with carcinomatous metastasis of gastric carcinoma is 45.8%,which is significantly higher than its primary lesion;The expression of vimentin has significant relationship with the TNM stage,the number of lymph nodes with carcinomatous metastasis,Lauren type and differentiation.However,the infiltration,location,sex,age,cancer epistom in the vessel,the invasion of nerve have nothing to do with expression level of vimentin. SPSS for Windows 16.0 and Wilcoxon signed-rank test,Wilcoxon rank sum test,Nemenyi test,Kruskal-Wallis H test,Spearman rank correlation test were used to analysis the data.Conclusion:The expression of vimentin is relevant with the genesis,invasion and metastasis of gastric carcinoma,and it may be a potential taget in the therapy of gastric carcinoma.
