Purpose:To evaluate the reliability and accuracy of intraocular lens (IOL) power calculations of patients after myopic laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) by IOL-Master.Methods:According to spherical equivalent (SE),58eyes of 29 myopia patients performed LASIK were divided into three groups (low, moderate and high myopia) and followed up for 3 months. To collect the datas before and after surgery by IOL-Master, establish the database and then evaluate the accuracy and reliability of Haigis-L formula and SRK/T formula using the clinical history method (CHM) in calculating IOL power of the eyes after LASIK surgery.Results:1. In low, moderate and high myopia groups, the postoperative equivalent IOL powers were statistically different from the preoperative ones (higher by Haigis L, lower by SRK/T, respectively, P<0.01).2. EILD values obtained by Haigis-L formula were lower than that of SRK/T formula in the three different groups (P<0.05). The ratio of eyes with EILD by Haigis-L formula within 1.00 D was significantly higher than that of SRK/T formula (100%,72.2% in low myopia groups; 70%,25% in moderate myopia groups; 70%,20% in high myopia groups, respectively, P<0.05).3. EILD (Haigis-L) had no correlation with the axial lengths, whereas EILD (SRK/T) was moderately related to the axial length. Regression formula: YH.L=25.068+0.785x.YSRK/T= 24.498+0.874x. EILD values measured by Haigis-L formula were lowly related to the practical corrective refractive values of the surgery. However, an intensive linear relationship was found between the EILD by SRK/T formula and the practical corrective refractive values of the surgery. Regression formula:YH.L=3.033+2.418x. YSRK/T=1.460+2.957x.Conclusions:1. Application of IOL-Master to establish a database of preoperative refractive parameters is beneficial for intraocular lens power calculation of cataract surgery in eyes after LASIK.2. Haigis-L formula obtained with IOL-Master was relatively reliable in IOL calculation after myopic LASIK.
