ObjectiveTo discuss the the roles of psychological and other factors in the onset of Functional Dyspepsia,through investigating the incidence of unhealthy living habits, negative stimulus, anxiety, depression of FD patients.MethodHabits, negative stimulus, anxiety and depression were assessed and analysed by questionnaire about symptom of FD patients and healthy subjects.ResultsIncidence rates of the main complaints in FD patients were as following respectively:epigastric pain 71.43%, epigastric burning 44.44%, early satiation 47.62%,postprandial fullness 62.70%.There were 55 FD patients combined IBS(Irritable Bowel Syndrome IBS); the bad living habits such as unhealthy eating habits,drinking,lacking exercise were more likely to happened in FD patients than healthy subjects (54.76%vs 13.91%; 21.43%vs11.30; 84.92%vs72.17%, P<0.05);FD patients suffered more negative stimulus than healthy subjects (80.80%vs20.00%, P<0.001);the scores of anxiety and depression were significantly higher in FD patients than those in healthy subjects (48.87±10.01vs40.77±5.92; 53.81±12.84vs41.50±6.86, P<0.001); the scores of anxiety and depression were significantly higher in female FD patients than those in male FD patients (50.76±10.29vs 46.08±8.98; 55.68±13.30vs51.06±11.73, P<0.05); the more severe patients felt,the more depression likely to happen(52.94%,56.25%,80.00%,P<0.05); there was no significantly difference in different ages and different occupations of FD patients. ConclusionsBad habits, negative stimulus were more likely happened to FD patients than healthy subjects. Anxiety and depression happen more frenquently in FD patients than that in healthy subjects,and depression correlate to the severity of FD symptom. Anxiety and depression are more often seen in female FD patients than that in male FD patients. But there was no significantly difference in different ages and different occupations of FD patients.
