ObjectiveAnalyse the relationship between clinical features, manifestations of brain CT scan and prognosis of spontaneous hemorrhage of thalamus(SHOT for short) patients.MethodsRetrospectively analyze the clinical features and manifestations of brain CT scan of 51 cases who were diagnosed thalamic hemorrhage about from November 2008 to January 2009 in our hospital. Each hematoma was typed and the volume was measured carefully.Results1.64.7 percent of were more than 60 years old, that is to say, most of the patients were old people. Moreover, most of them had hypertension history (66.7%).2 eye-ball dyskinesia is the significant clinical manifestation of SHOT, account for 74.5%.3.With plain CT scan, the foci can be located, what is more, qualitative and quantitative diagnosis can be made. According to the CT manifestation,SHOT can be classified into five types, which is closely related to clinical manifestation.ConclusionsHemorrhage of thalamus is a disease with serious condition, quike changes and complex clinical manifestations. The prognosis varies from case to case, depending on the clinical manifestation. Brain CT scan has definite value for diagnosis and classification. Classifying the manifestation of CT scan can help evaluate the degress and prognosis. Prognosis is related to the site and volumn of hemorrhage.
