Abjectivesto explore the relationship of thalamia and memory, and the characteristics of thalamic memory disoder;Methods20 patients with a diagnosis of thalamic lesion and 20 health control group were enrolled in this study. Using MMSE and CDR to evaluate memory. Divide the subjects into two groups:patients with memory disorder(A Group) and patient without memory disorder(B Group). Compare A/B group with control group, and observe the differences of thalamic lesions of A group and B group.Compare patients with left thalamic lesion with those with right thalamic lesion to observe whether memory disorder induced by left and right lesion has difference;ResultsA group has an obvious memory disorder while B group hasn't an obvious memory disorder compared with controll group, memory disorder induced by left and right thalamic lesion hasn't obvious difference; Conclusions Thalamic lesion can induce memory decay, memory disorder induced by left and right thalamic lesion hasn't obvious difference, severity of amnesia is related with location of lesion, but is independent of size.
