A Meta-Analysis Of Clinical Efficacy Of Donepezil In Poststroke Aphasia

ObjectiveTo assess the clinical efficacy of donepezil in poststroke aphasia.MethodsA meta analysis of all randomized controlled trials(RCT)about donepezil on therapy of poststroke aphasia was performed.Revman4.2 was used to analyze.ResultsTwelve randomized controlled trials were assessed.Aphasia Quotient was considered as total effective index to develop a meta analysis.The result was that WMD(weighted Mean Difference) was 3.48; 95% confidence interval [3.11,3.86];the difference was significant (p<0.00001).ConclusionCompared with the control group,donepezil has better efficacy on poststroke aphasia.However,there still need more strict and multicentric randomized double-blind control trials,in order to provide more convinced evidence.
