| ObjectiveOur purpose was to evaluate the possibility of diagnosing post-pPROM intrauterine infection by blood HBD-2 level.Method35 pPROM patients were enrolled into test group,35 patients with gestation age between 28-37 weeks (admitted for other reasons) were enrolled into control group.Blood HBD-2 level was measured with 2-step ELISA;blood HBD-2,CRP and WBC count of test group were compared with those of control group.Test group was subdivided into HCA and non-HCA group according to pathological diagnosis of HCA or not, HBD-2, CRP and WBC count were further compared between these two groups.ResultsHBD-2 of test group was statistically higher than that of control group (P (0.05,=0.03); CRP,HBD-2 increment and latency before delivery of the HCA group was statistically higher than non-HCA group (P<0.05,=0.02);HBD-2 increment of test group was positively correlated with diagnosis of HCA (P<0.01, r=0.46).Conclusion: There is possibility that HCA can be forecast by HBD-2 increment;CRP was statistically increased in HCA group, but the efficacy of diagnosing HCA needs further investigation. |
