Objective:Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OSAS) is associated with coronary artery disease(CAD). The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between CAD and OS AS.Methods:From Junly 2008 to March 2009, a total of 52 patients from department of cardiology of the SIR RUN RUN SHAW Hospital of Zhejiang University were recruited into this study. A PSG device was used to measure and record overnight PSG parameters.Meanwhile, coronary artery angiography and ultrasound cardiogram were needed to carry out. Serum levels of triglyceride, cholesterol were investigated.Results:31 patients were diagnosed CAD and 21 patients were excluded CAD. The prevalence of OSAS in patients with CAD was higher than those with no CAD, respectively 80.6% VS 61.9%. In multiple logistic regression model, smoking and AHI>20 are the risk of CAD in patients, which with 6.603 and 4.883 times than that in patients with nosmoking and AHI<20.Conclusions:There is closely relationship between CAD and OSAS, AHI>20 is a risk factor for coronary heart disease.
