Background and Purpose With the rapid development of China's national economy, people's living conditions and lifestyles have changed significantly. Aging of the population appears to be particularly evidently. Currently cerebrovascular disease has become a middle-aged against our health and lives of the major diseases, In China Cerebrovascular disease in recent years, the cause of death overall in the whole show in a clear migration trend, The new stroke cases each year about 200 million people. At present did not have ideal method to treat the isehemic eerebrovaseular disease, therefore seeks its rated hazard factor and carrie on positively iniervenes until 2020, Cutting the disease ineidenee rate, the instruction to treat and improves the patient prognosisto have the very vital significance. Insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1) is a new treatment in clinical. Under normal circumstances, A variety of tissues and organs of the body can synthesize and secrete insulin-like growth factor -1. And are subjected to the regulation of growth hormone. Local tissue synthesis and secretion of insulin-like growth factor -1 work together on local target tissue with Circulatorys'. When hypoxic ischemic brain tissue, the levels of IGF-1 in blood decreased, with the progress of the disease dynamics of change occurred, indicating their participation in the repair process of cerebral infarction.Insulin-like growth factor -1 with the promotion of growth and development, promotes metabolism, lowes blood sugar and to promote the role of cell division and proliferation. It has a protective effect to ischemic nerve cell damaged by hypoxia. At present some studies only in animal experiments, To this new neuroprotective agent used clinically explicit as early as possible is especially important. The present study peripheral blood of patients with acute cerebral infarction by insulin-like growth factor -1 levels, to explore its role in patients with acute cerebral infarction. Methods This research chooses ischemic cerebrovascular disease patients for 40 cases, 22 males and 18 females; age of 48 -78 years old,in January 2009~December 2009 between our department in hospital .Twenty healthy persons were taken as control group in the study. We phlebotomized 5ml daopted enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in ischemic cerebrovascular disease Patients in 24h,7th day,14th day. The control group were phlebotomized 5ml,in the fist time. The sametime we obtained infarction volume in 7th day.Result Control group, serum IGF-1 content was 103.2±5.8 ng / ml, Patients within 24h of onset, disease incidence of 7th day and 14th day serum IGF-1 levels were 89.6±3.2 ng / ml, 73.5±2.8ng/ml, and 91.1± 4.6ng/ml, Three compared with the control group the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05 or 0.01). In the study group, 24-hour group compared with 7th day group the latter serum IGF-1 levels decreased by statistically significant difference test (P <0.05); 7th day group compared with 14th day group, which is the blood IGF-1 levels increased significantly, by the statistical test, the difference was significantly (P <0.05); 24-hour group compared with 14th day group, both serum IGF-1 levels showed no significant difference (P> 0.05), Know that, within 24 hours of onset of blood IGF-1 was significantly less than the control group in 7th day to further reduce the incidence, but incidence of 14th day increases again. The 7th day the levels IGF-1 in the onset of large, medium and small cerebral infarction blood were 63.2±3.2 ng / ml, 75.3±2.4ng/ml, and 89.6±3.4ng/ml, One large infarction in the infarction group compared with the former serum IGF-1 levels lower than the latter, The statistically significant difference test (P <0.05), Small infarction in the infarction group compared with the former serum IGF-1 levels also lower than the latter, by the statistical test was also significantly different (P <0.05). infarct volume and blood IGF-1 levels a linear correlation analysis, the two were negatively correlated(r=-0.9064). The 14th day the levels IGF-1 in the onset of large, medium and small cerebral infarction blood IGF-1 levels were 76.2±3.6ng/ml, 88.3±2.7 ng / ml, 98.5±3.2ng/ml, large infarct group compared with the former blood IGF infarction -1 were lower than the latter, a small infarction in the infarction group compared with the former serum IGF-1 levels lower than the latter, by the above statistical tests were significantly different (P <0.05), infarct volume and blood IGF-1 levels a linear correlation analysis, the two were negatively correlated (r =- 0.9410).Conclusion: Cerebral infarction after onset of infarction, volume and blood IGF-1 levels were negatively correlated. The blood of patients with acute cerebral infarction IGF-1 levels are decreased after the first rebound of the dynamic changes.
