Traditional Chinese medicine Fructus Kochiae is the mature and dry fruit of Kochia scoparia (L.) Schrad. It has the effect of removing heat and dampness, expelling wind and antipruritic. It also has antifungal activity. Fructus Kochiae contains triterpenoid saponins, flavonoids, steroids, etc.Liquid liquid extraction method was used for the selection of the better antifungal inhibition solvent. According to the antifungal inhibition effect between the Candida Albicans Seu-1 and Aspergillus Niger Neu-1, Seu-1 was the more effective fungal in the experiment and it has been selected for the rest separation experiment.Growth rate method had been used for finding the better antifungal component. And the better one would be continued separating.By the methods of Silica gel column chromatography, sephadex LH-20 chromatography and C18 RP-column chromatography,2 groups of compounds were found from Fructus Kochiae. Oxford cup method and Agar dilution method were used for the test of the antifungal inhibition between A and B.It was shown that B compound has better antifungal inhibition. Combination of NMR, MS and related document, the possible structure of B was presented. The group A has weak anti-fungal activity. By the anylisis of MS and NMR, A may contain flavone ingredient. So later A was used for the experiment of antitumor activity by the method of MTT. The result showed that MCF-7 breast cancer cells inhibition had positive correlation with A.
