Investigations Of The Drinking Water And Environmental Sanitation In Rural Area Of Yuanmou County

ObiectiveTo understand the quality of dringking water and environmental sanitation in rural area of Yuanmou County, to provide the fact for improving the drinking water and the rural environment sanitation.MethodsInterview method, observation and investigation method were used in the survey for the countryside drinking water and the environmental sanitation, mainly including basic situation and the rural environmental sanitation; The laboratory examination method was used to test the drinking water quality, and the method of principal component analysis was used to assessment the quality of drinking water from four village.Results1 The research of environmental sanitation(1) Part of road in village is concrete road, garbage is discarded everywhere, sewage is discharge everywhere from home, and villagers are not satisfied with their living environmental sanitation.(2) 363 toilets in four village were investigated,178 of them is sanitary latrine, for 53.13%; 157 of households toilets are not sanitary latrine, for 43.25%; 28 households have no toilet, for 7.11%.(3) The fuel in four villages:straw, taking up 86.50%; the electric,60.06%; biogas,54.82%; gas,7.44%;others,5.23%. 2 Quality of drinking water in rural area(1) 61 sampling drinking water were tested:Only 7drinking water are qualified in all indicators, only take up 11.48%; Bingnong Village, onlyl,20%; Hexi Village,onlyl,4.54%; Dajinheshui Village,only4,19.05%; Palang Village,onlyl, 7.69%.(2) Single indicators:pH, oxygen consumption, arsenic, iron are all qualified; excess standard rate:colony form unit,60.66%; fluoride,52.46%; chloride,32.79%; sulfate,26.23%; hardness,22.95%; total dissolved solids,21.31%; turbidity,11.48%; manganese,6.56%; nitrate-nitrogen,4.92%; chroma,1.64%.(3) Score of the principal components analysis is arranged in ascending order: Bingnong village, Dajinhe Village, Hexi Village, Palang Village. The quality of drinking water in Bingnong Village is better, while Palang Village is worse.Conclusion(1) The rural environment santation is not good, the sanitary latrine popular rate is lower, firewoods are used in kitchen, and the residents think their living environmental sanitation is worse.(2) The qulity of drinking water in Yuanmou rural area is worse, the overall condition is not good, the major effect factor is the microorganism, the fluoride, the chloride, sulfate, hardness, total dissolved solids.(3) Compared by the principal components analysis, water quality in four investigated village from good to bad in turn:Bingnong village, Dajinhe Village, Hexi Village, Palang Village;...
