Parkinson disease, also known as paralysis agitans, is a common degenerative diseases of the nervous system for the Middle-aged and elderly. Nigrostriatum is the main pathway of degenerative diseases. Mainly dopaminergic neurons degeneration in the substantia nigra - Striatum pathway, Lead to reduction of striatal dopamine synthesis, Enhance the relative role of acetylcholine. Dopamine is Inhibitory neurotransmitters in the striatum, the role of acetylcholine on the contrary, Striatum is an excitatory neurotransmitter. Normal circumstances, both in the striatum play a leading role in the dynamic equilibrium. However, Parkinson disease is due to the loss of the neurotransmitter dopamine, loss of inhibition of the striatum, excitatory acetylcholine relatively enhanced, making the pair of neurotransmitters in the state of imbalance, leading to the "Shaking Palsy." The people contract the disease after more than 60 years of age. As the population ages, the incidence rate showed an upward trend year after year, has had a negative impact to the family and the community. PD-related epidemiological survey, for the Chinese people over the age of 55 prevalence the rate of PD is 1.02%. Since Parkinson first described PD in 1817, the understanding for PD has been nearly 190 years. The most recent 30 years, especially the past 10 years, both the understanding of the pathogenesis of PD, and the treatment of exploration, have made great progress. With the increase of the elderly patients, anesthesiologists will face more PD patients. Perioperative safety, effective and reasonable management of anesthesia is very important. This article on the treatment of PD itself, the specificity of drugs, anesthetic methods and anesthetic drugs of PD patients has a Overview.
