BackgroundCoronary artery disease (CAD) is not only a major cause of death and disability in western countries, but also become an important cause of morbidity and mortality in China. The treatment of CAD is very complex. And now it is considered that off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting is the best treatment which is better than pump coronary artery bypass grafting in several aspects.ObjectiveTo compare the off-pump coronary artery bypass graft with the traditional pump coronary artery bypass grafting in clinical efficacy in the near future.MethodsWe recruited the cases of CAD with the surgery of pump coronary artery bypass grafting or off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting group of patients. And we compared the clinical records between the two groups, such as the length of stay, the amount of drainage, operation time, and so on.ResultsThe hospital mortality was no significant difference between the off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting group and the pump coronary artery bypass grafting group (P>0.05). In the Off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting group, arrhythmia, length of stay, operation time, the amount of drainage, serum creatinine are less than in the pump coronary artery bypass grafting group(P<0.05). No hospital mortality are found both in the two groups. ConclusionThe off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting is a safe and effective treatment of coronary heart disease. The off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting costs less operation and hospital time, reduces the damage to the organ, showing better clinical effect in the near future.
