Objective To explore the association of TLR4 rs1927911 and TLR2(Arg753Gln) genetic polymorphisms with atherosclerotic cerebral infarction and their effects to blood pressure,fasting blood glucose,blood fat in Han population of Hunan province.Methods TLR4 rs1927911 and TLR2(Arg753Gln) genetic polymorphisms were detected by polymerase chain reaction(PCR), restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP) in 170 patients with atherosclerotic cerebral infarction and 149 healthy controls.Results1.In the study population,the Frequency of TLR4 rs1927911 genotypes is 37.6%CC,49.0%CT,and 13.4%TT,C allele gene frequency is 62.1%,and T allele gene frequency is 37.9%.the Frequency of TLR2(Arg753Gln) genotypes is 90.6%GG,9.4%GA, and 0%AA,G allele gene frequency is 95.3%and A allele gene frequency is 4.7%. 2.There is significant difference of genotypes and allelic gene distribution of TLR4 rs1927911 polymorphism in atherosclerotic cerebral infarction patients and control group.3.TLR2(Arg753Gln) polymorphism reveales no significant difference of genotypes and allelic gene distribution in atherosclerotic cerebral infarction patients and control group.4.As far as TLR4 rs1927911 and TLR2(Arg753Gln) are concerned, blood pressure,fasting blood glucose and the serum level of blood-fat index are not significantly different among different genotypes in atherosclerotic cerebral infarction group and control group.Conclusions1.TLR4 rs1927911 polymorphism may be a risk factor for atherosclerotic cerebral infarction in Han population of Hunan province, although it may not be associated with blood pressure,fasting blood glucose and the metabolism of blood-fat in Han population of Hunan province.2.TLR2(Arg753Gln) polymorphism may not be a risk factor for atherosclerotic cerebral infarction in Han population of Hunan province, and it also may not be associated with blood pressure,fasting blood glucose and the metabolism of blood-fat in Han population of Hunan province.
