Background :Cerebrovascular disease is the leading cause of death and disability. Both treatment and nursing of these patients are very expensive. Cerebral infarction(CI) usually develops on the basis of Atherosclerosis(AS).ox-low- density lipoprotein cholesterol (ox-LDL-C) have important role in the process of AS which involve early activation, malfunction and late functional disorders of endothelium. Heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) is a important antioxidant enzyme with potent clearing free radical and protecting LDL from oxidation. HO-1 gene upregulated accelerate the degradation of heme in vivo and The products of HO-1 reaction, carbon monoxide and bilirubin, and inhibit the formation and development of Atherosclerosis. There are lot of reports about the correlation between HO-1and AS, but few reports about interrelation of HO-1 and infarction. the investigation of HO-1 genetic Polymorphism and cerebral infarction have important significance. Objective:â‘ to investigate the interrelation of Heme oxygenase-1 gene promotor region (GT) dinucleotide repeats Polymorphism and the inherit susceptivity of cerebral infarction.â‘¡to investigate the level of the products of heme degradation, carbon monoxide, in the patient of Cerebral infarction. Methods:A case-control was used. Gene polymorphism of HO-1 were analyzed by...
