Abstract/Summary:
Objective:1.To study the distributive features of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndrome of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) with dyslipidemia patients.2.To analyze the correlation between the main syndrome elements of T2DM with dyslipidemia patients and physical and biochemical indexes. Methods:In this study, the general materials and materials of the four TCM diagnosis and treat of outpatients at The No.1 Hospital of Xiamen,Xiamen University Hospital and those patients of Xiamen district that had been involved in the 3rd National Diabetes General Survey and are in accordance with adoptive standards were collected,so as to make TCM identification and to obtain distributive features of T2DM with dyslipidemia patients by using the theory of syndrome elements and combination of syndrome elements;and examine various physical and biochemical indexes, then compare and analyze the indexes of main syndromes group by group to study the correlation between these indexes and patterns.Results:1.Among the syndrome elements of 101 cases of T2DM with dyslipidemia, the top four syndromes according to frequency were:syndrome blood stasis(67 cases, accounts for 66.33%),dryness-heat(48 cases, accounts for 47.52%),phlegm-dampness(35 cases, accounts for 34.65%) and qi deficiency(48 cases, accounts for 47.52%).2.Fifty-two types of patterns were observed, the top nine patterns according to frequency were:dryness-heat with blood stasis(10 cases, accounts for 9.90%),blood stasis(6 cases, accounts for 5.94%),qi deficiency,dryness-heat,blood stasis and phlegm-dampness combinations(5 cases, accounts for 4.95%),dryness-heat(5 cases, accounts for 4.95%),qi deficiency with blood stasis(4 cases, accounts for 3.96%),qi deficiency with phlegm-dampness(4 cases, accounts for 3.96%),blood stasis with phlegm-dampness(4 cases, accounts for 3.96%),qi deficiency,dryness-heat and blood stasis combinations(4 cases, accounts for 3.96%),and qi stagnation,dryness-heat and blood stasis combinations(4 cases, accounts for 3.96%).3.The patterns of T2DM with dyslipidemia is mostly of two pattern combinations(34.65%) and three pattern combinations(28.71%) and mainly of deficiency-excess complex(56.44%) and excess pattern(37.62%).4.The combination of syndromes can be summed up as six main types, they are: dryness-heat with blood stasis and dryness-heat with blood stasis combined with other syndrome elements(31.68%),qi deficiency with blood stasis and qi deficiency with blood stasis combined with other syndrome elements(28.71%),qi deficiency with phlegm-dampness and qi deficiency with phlegm-dampness combined with other syndrome elements(23.76%),qi deficiency with dryness-heat and qi deficiency with dryness-heat combined with other syndrome elements(20.79%),phlegm-dampness with blood stasis and phlegm-dampness with blood stasis combined with other syndrome elements(19.80%),and dryness-heat with phlegm-dampness and dryness-heat with phlegm-dampness combined with other syndrome elements(17.82%).5.The TG of blood stasis groups was lower than that of the none blood stasis groups(P<0.05);the FPG,TG of dryness-heat groups was significantly higher than that of the none dryness-heat groups(P<0.01);the BMI of qi deficiency groups was higher than that of the none qi deficiency groups(P<0.05);the BMI of phlegm-dampness groups was higher than those of the none phlegm-dampness groups(P<0.05),the TG of phlegm-dampness groups was significantly higher than those of the none phlegm-dampness groups(P<0.01).Conclusions:1.The essential syndrome elements of disease of T2DM with dyslipidemia are blood stasis,dryness-heat,phlegm-dampness and qi deficiency.2.The mechanism of disease of T2DM with dyslipidemia is complex, and it is featured by excess pattern,deficiency-excess complex and multiple pattern combinations.3.The common patterns of T2DM with dyslipidemia are dryness-heat with blood stasis, blood stasis,dryness-heat,qi deficiency and dryness-heat combined with blood stasis and phlegm-dampness,qi deficiency with blood stasis,qi deficiency with phlegm-dampness, blood stasis with phlegm-dampness,qi deficiency combined with dryness-heat and blood stasis,qi stagnation combined with dryness-heat and blood stasis;and the uppermost pattern combination of diabetes mellitus with dyslipidemia is dryness-heat with blood stasis combined with other elements.4.FPG,TG is the reference index of dryness-heat pattern;BMI is the reference index of qi deficiency;BMI,TG are the reference indexes of phlegm-dampness pattern.
