ObjectiveAnalysis of 457 cases of patients with jaw fractures, the study compared four kinds of scoring method,to explore a more in line with the characteristics of oral and maxillofacial specialist trauma score.MethodsTo anatomical basis of the use of AIS 2005 on 457 jaw fracture patients according to injury location and the number of injury for ISS,NISS,RISS and MISS score, using theory of statistics to analyze.ResultsAccording to injury site to rate:NISS and RISS two kinds of methods was not statistically difference in the evaluation of mandibular fractures, maxillary fractures, zygomatic zygomatic arch fractures, fractures of the lower surface(p>0.05).RISS and ISS in the evaluation of zygomatic zygomatic arch fracture was statistically difference(p<0.05).NISS and the RISS in evaluating the maxillary zygomatic fractures combined was statistically difference(p<0.05).NISS and ISS in the evaluation of maxillary fracture was statistically significant difference(p<0.01).The remaining groups were significantly different(p<0.001).According to the number of injury to rate:except one and two fractures were no significant differences with NISS and RISS(p<0.01),the others were significant differences,With the increase in the number of injuries, the average of ISS,NISS,RISS,MISS had increased.NISS,RISS,MISS are superior to ISS,especially MISS including functional parameters more evidentConclusionMISS score considering open degree, malocclusion, facial deformity and diplopia reflect the extent of oral and maxillofacial trauma with a sensitivity and specificity, and can provide more for maxillofacial trauma accurate and comprehensive quantitative and more suitable for the application of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
