Language Study Of "Zhubing Yuanhou Lun" (Origin And Treatment Of Diseases)

"Zhubing Yuanhou Lun" (Origin and Treatment of Diseases) is China's first available treatise on the discussion of cause, pathogenesis and syndromes of diseases, as well as a summary of pre-Sui medical achievements. "Zhubing Yuanhou Lun Jiaozhu" (Annotations of Origin and Treatment of the Diseases, annotated by Ding Guangdi,) is presently the most prestigious version of annotations about the Sui dynasty medical work "Zhubing Yuanhou Lun". It arranged the major works about "Zhubing Yuanhou Lun", and made a definite breakthrough on the basis of the means at that time.The focus of this thesis is the study of language of "Zhubing Yuanhou Lun", using "Zhubing Yuanhou Lun Jiaozhu" as a reference for supplementing and correcting, in order to set forth further interpretation and understanding of language of the original work.This thesis uses philological tools to do textual research on the lost or false collations and notes in "Zhubing Yuanhou Lun Jiaozhu", and attributes them to ten categories; it arranges textual errors, and thereby reveals the original face and true meaning of the words in the original work, hoping to let it become even more accurate, even more beneficial for studying and using. It applies the method of traditional semantics to explore the reasons of lost or false collations and notes of "Zhubing Yuanhou Lun Jiaozhu"; and summarize the revision and explanation patterns of the ancient books of Chinese Medicine, to build up the experience of ancient works' annotations.From the perspective of clinical practice, this thesis makes corrections on the annotations of "Zhubing Yuanhou Lun Jiaozhu'"s textual errors, corrects the interpretation of medical principles, and so is beneficial for clinical guidance.This thesis is helping the research of historical semantics and the education about ancient medical works, by using the perspective of historical semantics to research, revise and interpret this issue. Moreover, the author puts forward some suggestions about the present conditions of revising ancient books.
