| Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Laparoscopic Vaginal Radical Trachelectomy (LVRT) in the management of early cervical cancer campared with Radical Hysterectomy (RH).Methods:All clinical trails on LVRT treating early cervical cancer indexed in PubMed and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) were reviewed using meta-analysis by SPSS software. The patients were classified into two groups, i.e. , LVRT trail group and contral group. Intervention method in contral group was RH. There were no differences between two groups in clinical phase, tumor size, depth of invasion, histology, tumor grade, lymph node metastasis and lymphovascular space involvement except for age. Results:There were 309 patients in LVRT group and 419 patients in RH group. Meta-analysis indicated that weight of every trail contributing to this study was related to its number of patients. NO complication odds ratio (OR) between LVRT and control group was 0. 93, 95% CI was 0.82-1. 06. But there were statistical differences two groups by chi-square test (P=0. 038) . NO recurrence OR between LVRT and control group was 0. 99, 95% CI was 0.96-1.02. there were no statistical differences. Survival OR between LVRT and control group was 0. 99, 95% CI was 0. 96-1. 02. there were no statistical differences. 5-year Recurrence-Free Survival in LVRT group was 96.1% compared 96.9% in the control group, there were no statistical differences. Conclusions:Two surgical procedures to treat early cervical cancer have the same safety, they have the same recurrence ratio and mortality. But about the complication , meta-analysis and chi-square test have the different results. So we need larger sample to compaire the two surgical procedures. |
