The Expression And Correlation Of Osteopontin And β-catenin Protein In Gastric Carcinoma

Objective: with immunhistochemical staining ,we examined the expression of osteopontin andβ-catenin in gastric carcinoma , atypical hyperplasia gastric tissue and normal gastric mucosa . we study the relation between the expression of osteopontin andβ-catenin , the relation between the two and pathological differentiation of could be used as a diagnostic index of gastric carcinoma ,for and as a target stomach cancer treats the side take osteopontin andβ-catenin to provide the certain theory reference, possibly can bring the broad prospect for the stomach cancer treatment.Methods :S-P immunochemical method was performed to detect the expression of osteopontin andβ-catenin in 120 case gastric carcinoma tissue, 40 cases atypical hyperplasia gastric tissue and 30 cases of nomal gastric tissue. Then carries on the x2 examination and the relevant analysis using the SPSS13.0 statistics softwarw package to the obtained dates.Results; (1)Osteopontin expression is gradually high in the normal stomach mucous membrane organization ,gastrisis, non-typical proliferation and cancer patients. also normal stomach mucous membrane organization and gastrisis expression has nothing to do with the stomach cancer.(2) The result of Osteopontin expression: The positive rate of Osteopontin was 10% in nomral mucosa and the positive rate of Osteopontin was81.7%(98/120 )in GC and the positive rate in the latter was significantly hihger than that in nomral mucosas(p<0.01). the positive rate of Osteopontin was 88.3% in the gorup with serosa infilrtation and hihger than that in the group wihtout serosa infiltration(48.8%,p<0.0l); the Positive rate of osteopontin was 81.2% in the group with lylmph node metastasis and hihger than that in the group without lymph node metastasis(36.8%,p<0.01): Osteopontin also closely correlated with TNM stages. The positive rate of Osteopontin inⅢandⅣstages was hihger than that inⅠandⅡstages(74.5%,38/65 Vs 58.5%,41/55,p <0.05). No correlation was found bewteen the Ostocpontin expression of patinets ages and sex.(3)β-catenin expression is gradually high in the normal stomach mucous membrane organization ,gastrisis, non-typical proliferation and cancer patients. also normal stomach mucous membrane organization and gastrisis expression has nothing to do with the stomach cancer.(4) The result ofβ-catenin expression: The positive rate ofβ-catenin was 3.33% in nomral mucosa and the positive rate ofβ-catenin was56.7%(68/120 )in GC and the positive rate in the latter was significantly hihger than that in nomral mucosas(p<0.01). the positive rate ofβ-catenin was 72.1% in the gorup with serosa infilrtation and hihger than that in the group wihtout serosa infiltration(48.1%,p<0.0l); the Positive rate ofβ-catenin was 77.2% in the group with lylmph node metastasis and hihger than that in the group wihotut lymph node metastasis(52.6%,p<0.01):β-catenin correlated closely with TNM stages. The positive rate of Osteopontin inⅢandⅣstgaes was inⅠandⅡstages(94.6%,52/55Vs 24.6%,16/65,p<0.0l). No correlation was found bewteen theβ-catenin expression of patinets ages and sex.Conclude: (1)Osteopontin expression is gradually high in the normal stomach mucous membrane organization ,gastrisis, non-typical proliferation and cancer patients. It express Osteopontin has correclate closely with gastric cancer. Osteopontin highly position expression is no corrected with age and sex with gastric cancer. highly expression of Osteopontin wascorrelated with TNM stages, inflitration depth and whether there was lymph node . It suggession that highly expression of Osteopontin might participate in the procession of gastric carcinogenesis and the progression of GC as well as the enlancement of the carcinoma invasive ability.(2)β-catenin expression is gradually high in the normal stomach mucous membrane organization ,gastrisis, non-typical proliferation and cancer patients. It suggestsβ-catenin has correct closely with gastric cancer. highly expression ofβ-catenin wascorrelated with TNM stages, inflitration depth and whether there was lymph node .(3) .There is a close correlation betweenβ-catenin and Ostocpontin,they coerrlated with carcinogenesis developmnet,invasion and metastasis of GC singificantly(4).To detecte expression ofβ-catenin and Ostoeponiin will faciliate the GC Severity estimation and its prognose.
