Studying On Chemical Constituents Of Root In Codonopsis Macrocalyx Diels

Codonopsis macrocalyx diels,is a kind of source plant widely distributed in the west of China(especially in Tibet region),This plant grows in the bushland at the altitude of 1500～2000 metres,which belongs to Codonopsis in Campanulaceae family.Its roots,leaves and flowers can be traditionally utilized for the treatment of tonifying Spleen and stomach,replenishing qi and blood and promoting fluid production to quench thirst.There are more efficacies in roots in Codonopsis,so it is meaningful to investigate its chemical constitute.In the last twenty years,many compounds had been isolated from the Codonopsis plant. Some of them exhibited the activities of treating disease,and most of which were alkaloidal,triterpene,steroid and so on.But the researching of Codonopsis macrocalyx diels,has not been reported.In order to make full use of the medicinal plant in our country,and to develop medicine from Codonopsis family, it was necessary to make the chemical component clear.As a result,the main aim of the present study was to find active compounds from the roots of Codonopsis macrocalyx diels,collected from Tibet.In this paper,Five compounds were isolated by extracting the roots of Codonopsis macrocalyx diels,with column chromatography of silica gel, column chromatography of aluminium oxide,recrystallization and preparative liquid chromatograph.The obtained compounds were identified by physico-chemical property,¹HNMR,¹³CNMR,GC-MS,LC-MS,TLC and correlative data literatures.They are taraxerylacctate(CP1),taraxerol(CP2) atraetylenolide(CP3) 6-Methoxy-quinoline-4-carbaldehyde(CP4) and glucose (CP5).All of them were finded in Codonopsis macrocalyx diels,at the first time, and the CP4 was isolated from the Campanulaceae family for the first time.In additionly,in this thesis,through the systematical studies isolation method and strcture elucidation of the alkaloidal,triterpene in Codonopsis macrocalyx diels,has also been concluded in detail,part of its chemical constituents has been determined.The chemical constituents and their pharmacological activities of Codonopsis macrocalyx diels,had also been summarized systemically in addition in this paper.These provided the theoretical basis and scientific evidence for further research this type of compounds,development and application of Codonopsis macrocalyx diels.
