Visual music therapy is a new method of music therapy. Because it is a scientific, systematic, modern method, the research of the theory and practice on visual music therapy has brought a great convenience and value.The strategy of visual music therapy to the special children who have the attention-impaired is formed the basis of the accumulation of a large number of theoretical and practical experience. Taking into account the actual situation of education and training to attention-impaired children in the current background of special education, it explores a operational strategy of visual music therapy which combines the teaching method of improvisation with the structure, scientific teaching with interesting teaching. As a result, the traditional methods of music therapy becomes more universal and practical. The propose of the study is that Seeks to design a set of strategies of music therapy in order to fit the special education and facilitate the special education experts to operate and learn from them.The study is divided into three parts: the first part is the background for the study. It discusses the development of the traditional music therapy, the use in improving the attention problem of special children, its disadvantage ,the research and applications of visual music therapyThe second part is the main part. On the basis of analysis to the relevant issue, It established a strategy of four stages of visual music therapy to the attention-impaired children. The experiment chooses 30 attention-impaired children as experimental group and other 30 attention-impaired children in the control group. During the experiment, the teachers use the strategy of visual music therapy to the experimental group. When the experiment finished, a effectiveness of the strategy will verify if the strategy works or not. The results showed that, the children who are trained by the strategy have improved to some extent in both selective attention and sustained attention.The third part is conclusions and recommendations. It can be drawn from the experimental results: the treatment strategy has scientific significance and guidance; the strategy of visual music therapy has effectiveness in some degree; the experimental confirms again the relevance of visual music therapy. Finally, it puts forward the recommendations for the further empirical research, as well as the further explore to other types of special children.
