Traditional Chinese Medical Cases Records is a great treasure of Chinese Medicine.They are not only true medical records,but also reflect the history of clinical experiences and clinical thinking of famous Chinese medicine physicians.This article combines modern literature research and statistical analvsis to explore the laws governing diarrhea,hoping to shed new light in clinical treatment of diarrhea.In the first part,we will conduct a comprehensive review on ancient Chinese medicine treatment methods through ancient books and records,form a system summary on diarrhea disease,etiology,pathogenesis,treatment,and experiences of Chinese physicians in treating diarrhea.This article strives to understand diarrhea from a broad perspective and lay foundations for future research.The second part collects past diarrhea medical treatment data and forms a database,using SAS statistical software to analyze its frequency,different factors,clusters and other statistics.Through system analysis,a number of causes and symptoms have been identified.Causes of diarrhea include cold-dampness,damp-heat,Injury through diet,liver depression and weak spleen,spleen and stomach weakness,asthenia splenonephro-yang.Tonic,diuresis drug,liqi drug,Relieving Drug,shouse drug,Qingre drug,Xiaoshi drug,print suppress, etc.are the main drug treatment of diarrhea.The major pathogenesis of Diarrhea is deficiency and wet of spleen,correspondingly,there are six types of diarrhea,which are cold-dampness injury of spleen,Intestinal damp-heat,food indigestion,weakness of spleen and stomach,liver depression and Qi stagnation,kidney-Yang deficiency. The third part reasons the possibility of considering the pathology of kidney-leak through midnight-noon and ebb-flow doctrine theory;asthenic splenoyin may come from diarrhea;rhubarb can be used in diarrhea.
