Objective To investigate the outcome of the patients whose lung lesions persistent exist after completion of chemotherapy for gestation trophoblastic neoplasia stageIII.Patients an Methods Date on a total 226 GTN patients in Women Hospital affiliated Zhejiang University from August,2003 to August,2008 were reviewed,114 patients were selected studied and followed Up.Results The high-risk GTN,the lung lesions≥1cm,the number of mestatis>5,and lung lesions detected by CXR has a high risk of lung lesions persistent exist(p<0.05).The rate of raplase of GTN in no radiological abnormality after chemotherapy and radiological abnormality after chemotherapy has is not significantly different(p>0.05).Conclusions Complete remission(CR) can be considered after several con consolidate chemotherapy,but the lung lesions disappearance is unnecessary.Residual lung lesions dose not increase the rate of GTN replase.HCG is essential for the follow up of GTN.
