Objective To compare the measurements of axial length and keratometric power measured by IOL-Master,contact ultrasonic A-scan and keratomter. To evaluate the correlation between IOL-Master and the other two methods. Methods The axis length and keratometric power in 57 patients(74 eyes) were measured preoperatively by Zeiss IOL-Master,ultrasonic A-scan and auto keratometer.Using paired t test to assess the measurements of two methods and using Pearson rank conversion to assess the correlation between measurements of two methods. Results There was an significant difference in measurement of axial length between two methods:(24.46±2.52) mm by contact ultrasonic A-scan and (24.74±2.57 ) mm by IOL Master(t=-6.733,P < 0.01 ),and there was also an excellent correlation between two methods(r=0.990;P< 0.001 ).The keratometric powers measured by auto keratometer and IOL-Master were(44.39±1.57 )D and (44.28±1.54)D,also showing an significant difference(t=2.733;P <0.01 ) and excellent correlation(r=0.993,P< 0.001 ).Conclusion The results shows there was an excellent correlation between IOL-Master and the other two methods,IOL-Master is a very good measuring instrument and has a abroad prospect for development.
