Diagnosis And Therapy Of Neurofibromatosis Type Ⅱ

Objective: To study Diagnosis and Therapy of Neurofibromatosis Typeâ…¡in order toimprove diagnostic accuracy.Methods: The analysis of 7 patients of Neurofibromatosis Typeâ…¡(NF2)hospitalizedin affiliated 2nd hospital of Zhejiang University since 2003 was carried out. Literature about neurofibromatosis typeâ…¡was reviewed.Results: In all 7 patients, 2 were male,while 5 were female. The average age ofpatients with primary was 27.6 year-old. 1 patient underwent unilateral acoustic neuroma.6 patients ,among whom 1 patient underwent optic nerve glioma, 1 patient with meningioma, 2 patients with Neurofibroma and schwannoma,had bilateral acoustic neuromas. Surgery treatment was operated on 6 patients,while 1 patient refused.Conclusion: The clinical symptoms and the features of MRI of neurofibromatosistypeâ…¡were distinctive. MRI with MR plain scan and GD- DTPA enhanced scan should be given top priority in diagnosing neurofibromatosis. Total tumor removal was the best treatment for patients. At present it remains difficult to completely cure the disease.
