Objective: To observed the clinical effect of Ginsenosides combining with Glucocorticoid on the nephritic syndrome (NS) in order to prove ginsenosides can enhance the responsion of Glucocorticoid. Methods: This study was finished by a randomized, double-blind, single-centre controlled trial.120 NS patients were randomly divided into two groups and all the patients were received Glucocorticoid therapy. The first group were received Ginsenosides 50mg, twice each day and the second group were received placebo 50mg, twice each day.We should observe the patients for 3 months and remark Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) symptoms, the laboratory indexes such as liver function, renal function, TG, plasma-albumin,24H urine protein, the decrement of Glucocorticoid and the clinical curative effect.Result: There was a significantly different between the two groups in NS patients at the TCM symptoms, clinical effect and all the mark of symptom, which Ginsenosides was better than the Placebo(P <0.05,P <0.01).The group with Ginsenosides was also better lighten the adverse reaction of Glucocorticoid, decrease the 24H urine protein and the decrement of Glucocorticoid(P <0.05).Conclusion: Ginsenosides maybe strengthen the clinical effect of glucocorticoid treating NS and decreace glucocorticoid usage.
