Pancreatic A-cell Dysfunction And Diabetes

The homeostasis of blood glucose in vivo is the result of glucagon and insulin.Therefore,diabetes is considered as a bihormonal diease,its pathogenesis is not only the abnormal insulin secretion , glucagon secretion abnormalities is also involved.So in recent years,the A-cell dysfunction in diabetes caused people's attention.In this review,we have addressed recent finding on the effect of A-cell on diabetes,the reasons of insulin resistance,the factors who regulate the secretion of A-cell,and its significance for the treatment of diabetes.
