Spinal fractures are more common in the thoracolumbar and lumbar spine. Following the spinal of three columns theory and the classification of thoracolumbar spine injury , the injury of the thoracolumbar spine has basic and clinical research, compared with the multiple level spine fractures articles reported relatively rare, especially in multiple level thoracic fractures .This thesis is mainly discussed the classification and corresponding treatments for multiple levels osteoporotic thoracic vertebrae fractures. Multiple levels osteoporotic thoracic vertebrae fractures caused by various reasons and have heavy trauma and bad prognosis, thus the treatments should not be exactly the same as the single level thoracic fractures need to take the classifications into consideration. Based on the type of fracture-dislocation and the degree of spinal cord trauma conditions, multiple levels thoracic fractures can be divided into five subtypes of two categories, while the timely decompression and fix-up is the necessary treatment. Among these, the vertebral pedicle screw fixation systems are applicable and feasible for multiple levels thoracic spine fracture-dislocation cases. Especially for such case of incomplete spinal injury and with obvious spinal canal encroachment, the decompression and bone grafting treatments are essential and necessary components.
