In our hospital from January 2000 to June 2008 among patients with malignant bone tumors treated 494 cases, surgery on its way, chemotherapy approach, location, stage and type of tumor recurrence many factors and analyze the relevance of the discussion. Surgical treatment of this group of 404 cases, follow-up of 5 ~ 102 months, an average of 56 months, 37 cases in the 1 ~ 50 months local recurrence after surgery, the recurrence rate 9.16 percent, the recurrence rate of osteosarcoma were 11.84 percent, tumor resection of large tumor artificial joints replacement rate of postoperative recurrence of 16.67 percent. 90% patients recurrence time were 5~12 months, time to recurrence after surgery an average of 9.0 months, Bank of osteosarcoma tumor resection of large artificial joint replacement after tumor recurrence in patients with an average recurrence time of 7.1 months, the recurrence after local excision average time was 14.1 months, other tumor recurrence an average of 9.2 month. Analysis of recurrence in patients with a lot of influencing factors: the scope of surgical resection, the sick part of whether the merger of pathological fractures, the application of neo-adjuvant chemotherapy or surgery, the tumor types, osteosarcoma showed the highest recurrence rate in this group prognosis of the worst cases. Malignant fibrous histiocytoma, chordoma recurrence rate is higher than the average.
