Objective: To analyze the related main factors of complications during the perioperation treatment with hip arthroplasty in the elderly patients and to discuss the how to treat Preoperative concomitance sign to satisfied operation requirement ,how to prevention and cure complication in operation and after operation to raise tolerance to the operation and safe .Methods:Choose 121 patients with accepting hip replacement from Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from Jan.1999 to Dec.2006.Through retrieveing concomitance sign,dealing with complications and choosing modus operandi during in hospital , review and analyze 50 patients aged over 80 years with accepting hip replacement.Comparing with 71 patients aged no more than 80 years with accepting hip replacement, analyze to elevate safe of hip replacement in eld patients.Resulits:There was statistical difference among the heart and lung correlated diseases,diabetes,hypertension and tolerance capability of renal function and Liver function in Preoperative concomitant diseases between eld group and control group(P<0.05). There was statistical difference among anaemia,pulmonary infection and Water-electrolyte balance derangement in postoperative complications between eld group and control group(P<0.05). Cause of Death are pulmonary infection,electrolyte disturbances,arhythmia,glycopenia or hyperglycaemia cataphora.Conclusion: Beacause of specificity of great age ,eld patients accepting hip replacement must appraisal pathogenetic condition sufficiently before operation ,and control concomitance disease effectively ; Through treat with concomitance disease correctly before operation and prevent aggravation of Preoperative concomitance disease and common complication after operation, most of them can safely accept hip replacement.Choosing PR or THR should base on condition of patients. PR is suited to elder patients whose condition is bad.
